Job Description
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property’s outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position plays a key role in enhancing curb appeal and maintaining property value.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and care for all landscaping, including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, watering, and fertilizing.
- Perform general maintenance and cleanliness of sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas, including trash removal and debris cleanup.
- Ensure proper upkeep of outdoor amenities such as playgrounds, dog parks, pool areas, and recreational spaces.
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs and report issues to the Property Manager.
- Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including leaf removal, snow removal, and ice management as required.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper operation and water conservation.
- Maintain inventory of landscaping tools, equipment, and supplies, and notify management of any repair or replacement needs.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to assist with minor repairs and upkeep as needed.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of basic lawn care, gardening, and irrigation systems.
- Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic.
- Valid driver’s license may be required based on property needs.
